Jonine has an interest in PTSD and the use of EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitisation and Reprocessing) as a simple and quick method of assisting people to heal after a single traumatic event (such as workplace accident or motor vehicle accident), or ongoing trauma (such as childhood neglect, family violence or workplace bullying). However, EMDR can be used with individuals who have depression, anxiety, anger, relationship problems, and more.

Jonine is particularly interested in working with parents who have children experiencing difficulties. Additionally, Jonine offers a Christian Counselling focus for those who wish to include their faith in their recovery.

Her work includes completing bio-psycho-social assessments; counselling and developing supportive interventions to aid positive change and recovery.

As a counsellor and social worker, Jonine is trained and experienced in a wide range of therapeutic approaches including: EMDR; Solution Focused Brief Therapy; Strengths-based Therapy; Psychodrama; Narrative Therapy; and Motivational Interviewing techniques.

Jonine has an established down-to-earth, practical manner and she collaborates with clients to develop and achieve realistic goals. She is enthusiastic about helping people ‘get back on track’.
